Abstract
As companies increasingly try to balance profit and purpose, there is potential for in-house lawyers to play a crucial role. The field of ethics can be tricky but it is also fundamental, not just to our vocation but to the choices businesses make. Have you ever asked yourself how to always do the right thing when your client is also your employer or whether you should be challenging decision making in your organisation? These are difficult questions but can also form some of our most important professional decisions. In the next issue of our In Collaboration series, Professors Steven Vaughan and Richard Moorhead bring the topic of ethics within the in-house legal profession out of the “too hard to discuss” basket and into the forefront of your mind.
