Abstract

Drawing on interviews with key stakeholders in UCL, from students to academic lecturers and those supporting learning, we present the findings from our work on community based learning. In the context of UCL EAST, which is offering more than 25 modules which offer students the opportunity to learn in East London based settings, we sought to understand some of the potential barriers in this space from a range of perspectives. Our questions were based around stakeholder expectations and values, infrastructure and employability and skills. We offer recommendations on supporting authentic assessment linked to these key areas.
