Abstract

Sustainable Vulci seeks to understand the economy and palaeoenvironment influencing it at Vulci, one of the largest Etruscan city-states in pre-Roman Italy. The research programme is multi-disciplinary and multi-scalar: it involves geophysics survey of a productive area oustide the city walls, the geomorphological study of the Fiora river linking Vulci to its main coastal port at Regae-Regisvilla, a study of Vulci’s communication routes to the coast based on GIS and digital technology
