Abstract
At the turn of the twentieth century, Jewish women were beginning to take part in the women's movement that spanned the globe, from a unique perspective both as Jews and as women which caused them to form their own distinct movement through a network of international and interfaith alliances. This thesis, using the 1893 Jewish Women's Congress at the Chicago World's Fair as a nexus point, explores this movement, its foundations, its impact, and the challenges it faced.
