Abstract
：本文综合运用土壤微形态、粒度分析、植硅体等方法，重建了焦家遗 址大汶口文化中晚期城墙与壕沟“兴建-使用-废弃”的完整过程。结果表明，焦家 壕沟开挖于河漫滩相粉砂质沉积物上，先民使用开挖壕沟所得的沉积物修筑了第 一期城墙。在壕沟使用期间，降水为沟内带来短期流水，土壤侵蚀堆积构成了壕 沟内沉积物的主要来源。人类在壕沟附近的活动较为频繁，并利用清淤所得的沉 积物修筑第二期城墙。最终，随着壕沟内侧聚落功能变化，先民逐步放松了对壕 沟的管理，城墙壕沟先后废弃。在其主要使用阶段，城墙、壕沟客观上发挥着阻 挡来水、聚落防御的功能，其社会意义亦不应忽视。
