Abstract

A new generation of biomimetic, wearable devices could offer society a vast improvement in healthcare sensing and diagnostics. To realize these technologies, their comprising materials must replicate the high ductility of human skin whilst maintaining electronic conductivity. Conjugated polymers (CPs) are an ideal material choice as they exhibit low elastic moduli and can be modified to impart further flexibility and introduce self-healing functionality. This work focuses on the synthetic development and characterisation of new semiconducting polymers for wearable devices
