Abstract
This article offers a snapshot of current developments regarding the embedding of climate change and sustainability education into various areas of English music education. It charts recent policy developments by the Department for Education and Arts Council England, considering potential impacts on schools and other educational organisations. The article presents research findings which identify good practices and areas where more must be done to support school music educators. Finally, using the 4E framework for pro-environmental behaviours, the piece highlights examples of further campaigns and initiatives run by sector organisations.
