Abstract

A 34-year-old woman presented with 6 months of a nodule and surrounding soft tissue swelling affecting the right eyebrow, which was followed over the next few months by painless hair loss and no further progression since. There was no preceding trauma and no other areas of patchy hair loss over the body. Her medical history and systemic review were unremarkable. Clinical examination showed alopecia, skin hypopigmentation, and mild soft tissue swelling affecting the lateral half of the right eyebrow region (Fig. 1). The skin texture was normal, and a small, nontender, cubctanerou nodule was palpable (Fig. 1, circle). There was no ophthalmic pathology, sensory changes, or similar lesions elsewhere on her body.
