Abstract
People with severe neurologica disorders, such as Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS) may lose crucial functions like movement and speech. Brain computer interfaces (BCIs) can enable users to control external devices to restore communication and/or control. This study focuses on speech decoding based on electroencephalography (EEG) and proposed a hybrid BCI protocol combining both motor imagery and speech imagery (SI) for next generation intuitive and flexible BCI applications.
