Abstract

Over the past year and a bit, we all have struggled to manage the impact of openly available LLMs and other AI, particularly on assessment. Improving AI literacy and opening conversations between students and staff seems to emerge as a global consensus for addressing the issues long-term, hence we started to run a number of joint student-staff initiatives at IOE, UCL's Faculty of Education and Society. I will report on two of these that are just wrapping up: A survey and an AI & Assessment Challenge, which we hope can inform our future decision-making.
